Metropolitan Cemeteries Board

The job.

The Board wanted to cut grid costs across its cemeteries and keep critical sites like the compounds running in an outage. We designed each system around the site’s own load, from crematoria and admin buildings to the works compounds, rather than applying one design everywhere.

Each install included structural engineering, the Western Power technical study and connection paperwork, and full commissioning reports. The grounds stayed open to the public while we worked.

We now run the annual service program for the Board. Every inverter and array at Karrakatta, Fremantle, Guildford, Rockingham and Pinnaroo is inspected, tested and reported on each year. At Karrakatta alone that covers nine inverters, from the original systems through to the new ones.
